Mike, I agree with you. McClintock has solid, fiscally-sound ideas, but when you find out more about his idealogical background, he's another Tom DeLay! I've even asked myself "does it matter?" because a CA governor is not a Rep or Senator. But then I realized he certainly would cut funding to anything related to family planning, gay rights, etc., etc.

Well I still have a few days of research to do. You're right, but out of the ones that are the "major" runners, I think he'd be the best for the job.
I still have some web-sites, and a lot of newspaper articles to read.
Any idea on who you may be voting on?

I really don't know. Watching the debate, I thought Peter Camejo (Green Party) did an outstanding job. It was interesting to note that none of the major media paid ANY attention to his contributions to the discussion - it was all Arianna blasted Arnold, Arnold shouted down Cruz, etc.
The media really let us down. And that guy who supposedly was a moderator was a joke! He was more concerned about applause from the audience than he was running an orderly debate.
In short, I'm disgusted!

It's interesting the Mc Clintlock is allowing Indian Gaming to run adds in his name, being that their only motive is to split the Republican vote more evenly to help keep Davis (whom they own) in power, or Bustamonte (whom they just re-bought) get elected by a split Republican vote.
When this is over Mc Clintlock's political carrer in the Republican party is over.
I can't wait for the next round of elections! It's open season on incumbents!

| What if the 2004 Presidential elections are close? Will McClintlock be to CA what Jeb was to Florida?

MTAtech, what the Democrats are hoping for is for the illegals with thier new driver's licenses to register to vote (illegally) on the bet that we care about as much about voter fraud and we do immigration laws. They will also use our driver's licenses to become "citizens" of wherever they move to.

I'm glad I don't live in California.
I agree the Arnold will probably find himself wishing he was making movies again, but on the other hand, if he wins, this could be his finest performance ever.
Only time will tell.

I like Arnolds "differnet" aproach to the stand. I hate the "I am good person, I do lots for you. I am perfect, vote me now!" robots that keep getting elected. At least Arnold seems to think differently. Not to say other poeple like that green party don't think differently, (obviosuly green party thinks A LOT differently about thing) but I agree a lot with ARnold.
He hasn't voted before though...... hmmm.......
I can't vote anyway.

| What sources of information to you base this conclusion or is this just mischievious mud slinging?

Apparently Arianna Huffington is considering dropping out of the race and asking her five or six supporters to vote for "Da Bust".
