Kids Digital Video Editing Websites/Tips

Hey Guys. Im starting to Tape sporting events for my college and putting them on DVD. Im using a Hi8 Sony Camera so its all being done digitaly. Im using basic tools that came with my burner. Ulead Movie Factory 2 and such. Anybody know any good websites that have good tutorials and such for people learning. I can make a basic DVD that has ok menus and such but I wanna take it up a notch I was messing around with Adobe Premiere Pro 7.0 but it just wasnt playing nice with the new kid so I think Ill need something a little lower level and I will work my way up. Thanks for any info and tips

Hey Phenious,

Try DVDRhelp.com. I've gotten a lot of good info there.
I tried going there before I replied but was unable to get the page. Don't know if it's a temporary thing or if the site is gone.

If its only Hi8 its not completely digital....

You need a Digital8 Sony or equivalent with a firewire card installed on your PC to get digital quality video..

Akkk! I ment digital 8

I have Firewire via my Sound Blaster Audigy. One Camera has Firewire for the connect and the school's camera has USB and firewire. 21GB for a hour and 42 minutes of video... I think its digital starting to just capture @ DVD quality as The differnce wasnt noticiable in the end product/worth the time
