I just bought a $60 w/ shipping ATI TV Wonder and pluged it into my PCI slot. Used their software to click all the shows I wanted on my HDD. My HDDs are a lot bigger than any Tivo I have seen. Works well for me. I havent however used a Tivo so cant comment on that side.

I've got one.... I love it....

Now I want to find a way to get it into my PC.... The TiVo has USB ports on the back..... I haven't looked yet to see what they are used for...hopefully they are an easy output to the PC

TIVO ROCKS!!!

Wish I had 2. I have mine set to record anything with Dennis Miller. Get up in the morning and there's my rant from the night before.

Good points - bathroom break - pause, puppy pees on carpet - pause, need a brewski - pause, great play in the big game - rewind, wife doesn't understand what's going on - rewind, etc.

Bad points - susceptible to people screwing with the cable box - i.e. - turning down the volume or muting , changes channels when it needs to - gives you one minute to decide (decisions, decisions).

Definitely NOT WIFE PROOF!! I'll be watching a recording and all of a sudden the cable menu pops up. Scroll, scroll, scroll, and wham she changes the station to watch "Kate and Leopold."

It's become a friggin catch phrase...Instead of recording a tv show, you "tivo it"...media loves it.

Don't watch tv that much and don't really have "must see" programs anyway. Besides, instead of spending $100+ (what do they cost?) on a "TIVO", I would do what phenny does.
