History demands that both the Braves and Cubs will fold in the first series. So one of those teams is certain to buck historical trends. I really think the Braves should be disqualified from the playoffs for their consistent failure to show up.

I would love to see a cubs/redsox series.That way one would be assured of ending that long drought.

Don't worry, the Braves bats will go in the deep freeze against the Cub's pitchers... they've been really pathetic for the past month, especially A. Jones, an almost guaranteed out or DP candidate in any crucial situation... absolutely refuses to stop trying to pull everything.

The Cubs hitting is suspect, but Atlanta's pitching is also pretty iffy.

It will probably the Twins against the Giants in the WS although I would really love to see a Cubs- Red Sox series... terrific pitching against the best hitting team in baseball.

I just saw on the news that there is a great big celebration going on in Detroit. The Tigers won their last game and avioded the national disgrace of distinction by not getting the most losses ever by professional baseball team. Go Tigers! Just LOVE their new stadium!!!!

It was fitting that the Phils miss the playoffs in the last year of that miserable stadium.

Can you imagine a Cubs-Bosox series? Good, 'cause it ain't gonna happen in any real world.
