LoL,

Man that sucks.

Almost been ripped off and I've hardly used Ebay.

There was this time I was lookin into laptops and they had one of those super-high-tech Vaio laptops for like $1000, about 2 hours later it was gone. Prior to it being gone I wrote the guy an e-mail asking if it was too good to be true and if he had any more in stock. He was like "yeah, I have a few in my warehouse, I use "this.com" escrow service because I don't like paypal or the mainstream, you can send it to me via Wire transfer or western union as well.

I would have saved the e-mail but I never replied and hotmail sucks so I ditched it.

There are some sneaky bastiches who use anonimity to their advantage like the dude in the article. I never trust more than a couple hundred dollars over e-bay but in the case of the laptop it was an exception. For "inhand" security I'll just go to the mall or circuit city and have it as i walk out the door.

I have no problem with what he's doing. States do this with their lotteries, bilk millions of dollars from people who think they will get something for nothing.

Caveat emptor.

starts with a “phisher” e-mail to perhaps 1,000 eBay users, telling them their accounts will be closed unless they supply their user name and password. Sometimes, as many as 200 people reply, he said.

wow they used the exact same program to get aol accounts and passwords

doesn't ebay have a warning that ebay will never ask for your passwords?

I'm very unimpressed by "Kenneth"
