This is the problem with countries that only want to implement certain parts of religious teachings without proper study of the environment (and religious teachings) and without creating a surrounding that is compatible.
So they end up implementing certain aspects of the religion, ignoring other aspects, and all this is done with a lovely dose of ignorance. If I were given a euro for every time I have complained about such hypocrisy...
