at least the manhole covers aren't still blowing out too (granted gas company problem, but still)

Yeah. We had another storm last night. I took a half-day's annual leave today to come home and mop up the flood in my basement (I have a lovely tenant who lives down there, and she doesn't need this tsurris either). Mop, because of course the power was still off, so neither a pump nor a shop-vac would have been any use...

I had major tree damage here. Woke up to one heckuva mess, Fri morn. Course that gave me a perfectly good reason to go out and buy a new chainsaw!
