What is a True American?
there was a discussion about the new miss switzerland, and she doesnt looks like a "typical" swiss, the question was, what is a typical swiss, and she didnt really know the german language, only english
so i want to know your opinion about a true american!
when does someone become an american if he/she hasnt got american parents? etc. and other such questions

As long as the parents are citizens, you are too. I have no idea what is going on with immigration in this country, but I do know that if you can't speak the language, don't move here.

Ummm...there really isn't any specific ethnic/language thing going on with Americans...that's the whole point of America. Hard to find a "definition" of an American following those terms.
For me, it's more of what you stand for. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd give you some examples.

well switzerland is in the middle of europe, there are a lot of cultures that meet, it's pretty cool here, so many different types of persons, really interesting!
BTW warthog, i know what you mean, i'm lazy too

If you had 10 women lined up from different countries I would probably not pick her as being Swiss...
She looks Italian or Brazillian or Persian or Tahitian or something---
