How you got into TIMO?

Well maybe this thread was made once but how all this people got here in first place...


I remember I started posting here was for a problem with a machine that didnt want to access the operating system solution get windows reinstalled..

what yours TIMO fellows?

I'm not too sure. I vaguely recall looking on Systpop for something that was linked from a small Aussie forum I was on at the time... and I saw some mention of moving to TechIMO... so I had a look, and got hooked.

One of my first posts here was coming to the "rescue" of a poor lad who was gonna have his post count revoked because he hadn't built a PC yet... or so I thought. Didn't realise they were joking at first.

Now I'm one of those some of that joking!

Well, I think the first several hundred (or more) of us more or less migrated here en-mass - we'd been together at Scott's prior place for a long time prior to Timo's existence!!

Edit - Well, you'd think I'd be able to get my UBB/vB code right on the first try by now!!

Plus I hadan unruley sound card problem I needed an answer for and got the info in minutes.
Then I found the community,and have been here ever since

I can't remember why I registered at sysopt.. It was such a long time ago. 4 or 5 years ago.

I came here because of resellerratings. I saw that there was a forum there and I got hooked. I used to browse a lot in the tech newsgroups but there was a lot of trolls and spams (hey, why is my quick reply box so small?!?) so I started hanging around here. I learned a lot here and hopefully I helped some. It was a while before I came here from RR and went to timo when I found out there's more to do in timo. I guess I'm here for keeps.

EDIT: Damn I almost forgot. I browsed a lot in sysopt as they had a lot of goodies to read about and collected infos in the folder I made for them. I never thought about the forums there. I must have missed a lot.
