electronic entertainment is fun!

I'm on my way to making my room into a complete home entertainment center (as if it isn't already). With the gift of an N64 (woohoo! go Mario Kart <--- serious) and since we got a new 32" tv, I can have the old one, a reliable 26".....now I'd be realy nice to have a new computer table (mine's sagging anyway) or otherwise have the tv in my closet which I don't use which is on the oposite side of my room sooooooo if I wanted to connect to sound system, the speakers would be, well, behind you while playing/watching tv........once I get the new table, I should get a new video card with TV OUT so I can play DVDs and pc games on the TV .....and eventually I'll get an X-Box (played my friends, love it)

*wipes sweat off brow*

THAT'S where the futon comes in, an older idea brought back into my constantly planning mind. Like I told DOOG once, a mind is a dangerous thing

I want to get a futon to replace my double bed. The problem is my room doesn't have the seating capacity to handle more than 2 people to watch a DVD. I'd like more than that; four would be enough. I have two swivel chairs, very, very worn but quite comfortable. A futon would add 2 more comfortably.....for a total of 4.

Can someone say N64/X-Box/DVD party!!!!!!!!!FJSLFWEO:Ijf32098u4v;l cmk .laiewruqp 2c

ahem.......yeah...got a little excited

Any tips on futons?

I'm looking at this one (just frame):
http://store.yahoo.com/ultimatefutons/avalon.html

I think I'll get the queen....or maybe the full, I dunno. I have to get a "love seat' model because of the way it sleeps ---> notice there is not head/foot board on a love seat model but there is on a "regular" futon? 6' 4" has it's ups and downs

For a mattress, I was thinking of this spring one or this normal one.

While we're on the subject, any tips on what creature comforts to add?

i hate you.. but you already knew that mr. t2 on dvd
i have that now btw.. but still...

as for futons, you can get a decent one for about $100, w/mattress
i have one instead of a bed, i like sleeping on couches for some reason... its not bad

make sure you get a mattress with springs or it will be crap in a short amount of time

also, for the creature thing, i sleep with a 4' catfish i got at walmart for $5, its cool lookin

ok this is just a gues now, but I think your having way to much fun!

My room is the entertainment center of the house. It has the best sound system (a nice subwoofer rig hooked up to my PC), DVD (again in my PC), 2PC's LAN'd together, two player split screen games, a couch, two chairs for the PC's, awesome lighting, cool posters (a sweet pic of a carrabien beach, and a pic of and Ferrari F50), and a bunk bed when seeting runs out! It's nice, though I have a brother who makes a mess in it constantly.

The room is both a curse, and a blessing. When my friends, or my sisters friends come over it is the place everyone goes! It's a blast with loud music, cool games, and movies. But it's a curse because I never seem to get peace anymore. After getting the SIMs I only have the room to my self if I lock the door and say I'm changing. It's both sad and cool.

Hope your room works out well!

get a job!
What you value, is what you spend your time/money on.

BTW, I got The Man In The Iron Mask, US Marshals and ID4 dvd today. I really wanted Face/Off and Zorro.....didn't have it, oh well, some other time. Brings total to 9 DVDs! Starting quite the collection.

FYI, my friend gave me his N64 because he got an X-Box

lol @ salmon

Wart, you are truly an entertainment freak.

As for the futons, I think they'd make a good addition. But I prefer soft and comfy couches that sinks in when you sit in it Also got some bean-bags lying around the room.

haha Bob

I would like another comp, have the best stereo in the house by far, have a nice sub, all hooked to comp, would like some better lighting although what I have isn't bad....I'd really like a ceiling light set, one of those with 3-4 area lights (whatever they are called, shine them off walls to create ambience) on a dimmer switch. Luckly my dad is basically an electrician and loves doing that kind of work

I have a sister too but she doesn't enter my room much
