Broadband for Commodore 64?

Hi gang.

Is this for real? Any of you still using the C64? I remember the fun I had with them in the 80s. Sigh.

I didn't think they're still making them.

Wow. But when can my Atari 2600 be on broadband? That's the day I'm waiting for. Combat, tank vs. tank with rebounding walls, head to head over the Internet...that would rock!

I read a webpage ages ago which claimed that they had hooked up thier 1 mhz c64 up to a broadband connection and it was broadcasting one meg a sec of midi to the world. I've searched for ages looking for the site again but google seems to have lost it.

WHY!!

WHY A C64!?!

This is like that programmable console unit, brand spankin' new design, with a graphics chip similar to that of the C64's...

And the Apple I's being reproduced for $200. I can get an XBOX with two games for less than that!

What are these people smoking!?!
