I feel guilty just for thinking this is cool.

This is overpriced, overbuilt, overpowered, and generally over the top. But I'd love to have one just to play with for a year or two.

Or three.

Porsche Cayenne

Hi-tech enough for ya?

You can get practically the same car in the Touareg---ok so its only got 310hp without the twin turbos, but its the same V8, its got the bi-xenon and the 6 speed tiptonic, the 4X Motion fulltime 4 wheel drive, 19" wheels, 4 corner air suspension, full traction control package including hill climb assist, complete navi control, OnStar, the Intellegent Crash response system, on and on---its basically the Cayenne without the 2 turbos for 1/3rd the cost...
Its a VW---with Porche lineage...

I bet you could debadge it---add the Porche emblems and no one would be the wiser :-)

13 miles to the gallon? My 95 XJ gets better gas milage than that and can out wheel that silly Porsche in a heartbeat.

What do you mean "Can you go fast?" What the heck are you buying an SUV to go fast for??!

An SUV that gets 13 mpg capable of 165 mph with 450hp is pretty damn good actually...

No! I can not accept that!

And who's going to go 145MPH with four bags of groceries and two kids?

If you can afford a six-figure car, the price of gas is insignificant.

I really love porsches and almost all the other german car companies I like the Cayenne but I don't think porsche should make a suv. Read about it here http://www.rapidcars.com/porschesuv.html

I still think it's a little late for Porsche to be hopping on the SUV bandwagon. She's about ridden out.

Don't get me wrong, TKOP, if someone handed me the keys, you wouldn't see me turning them down!
