while i can agree with the fact that we didn't go to war with(on) Iraq, i disagree completely that this was purely a publicity stunt to look better than Britain. If this were true then there would have to be the fact that britain is an amazing military power as common thought of most people... which it isn't.

We went to war with iraq because of the relationship of iraq with terrorism in general, and the fact that they still have not proven that they destroyed their WMD's.

if we had gone after Saddam for an unpaid parking ticket I would have still been fine with it because no matter what the main reason is, there were plenty of reasons to have him out. WMD's were just one, and while we never did find any, he did make them back in the last war, and his actions have been as close to the edge of breaking the rules as he can without starting a war. Well we finnaly got a president with a fully operational spine.
