Judge Moron at it again;

He wants his 2½-ton campaign ad (the Ten Commandments monument) moved to the US Capitol.

Is there any way to link to all of my other posts on separation of church and state so I don't have to reproduce my redundantly repeated reiterations here?

I was looking for a dead horse gif and came across this. Check out the award four down from the dead horse award.

Where in the first amendment does it state "separation of church and state"? It does not.

But it does state,
"or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". The judges free excise has been removed with the removal of this statue.

1st amendment
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. "

From you link J-Excel,

"Anytime religion is mentioned within the confines of government today people cry, "Separation of Church and State". Many people think this statement appears in the first amendment of the U.S. Constitution and therefore must be strictly enforced. However, the words: "separation", "church", and "state" do not even appear in the first amendment"

Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Association of Connecticut. The congregation heard a widespread rumor that the Congregationalists, another denomination, were to become the national religion. This was very alarming to people who knew about religious persecution in England by the state established church. Jefferson made it clear in his letter to the Danbury Congregation that the separation was to be that government would not establish a national religion or dictate to men how to worship God. Jefferson's letter from "

Read more articles. You'll find it.

Basically Jefferson wrote that the purpose of the first amendment was to put up a wall of separation between church and state. The literal translation of the first amendment is that government can't endorse religion. Separation of church and state is just a catchier phrase and it captures the intent of the amendment.

I really don't want to argue it anymore. Just read all the arguments for both sides. There's plenty of literature there to keep you busy. Keep in mind that the majority of unbiased judges (the guys who's job it is to interpret law) side with separation of church and state and it's only your bias that puts you against it.

Congress could use it as a sacrificial altar for our civil rights. I have a better idea. Why not display it on church property where it belongs?
