IKEA SUCKS

I've come to the conclusion that I hate IKEA, I hate the company, the products AND the HORRID, REPULSIVE, NON-EXSISTANT Customer service.

My Boss is trying to make me drive all the friggin way to New Jersey because they forgot to give him a peice to a cabinet. So he puts the "task" on me and tells me to "follow through" like it's a graphics assignment....wtf. I didn't mess up, IKEA did.

SO....I sit on the phone trying to get in touch with "IKEA Paramus" for about 5 days, trying to find out which number works, why their automated systems dont work, and how the hell to find the right extension to get in touch with them. SO....I finally contact them and 3 days later and 8 more calls I speak to the manager who tells me "Oh, we know what your missing, we'll UPS it right away". So I'm happy thinking I'm done without driving anywhere and then it arrived...

WTF.....They knew what I ordered? Then how come they send me an Unstained, freshly cut cabinet back. I mean hell people.....how much more incompetent can you get.......they didnt even ask so I thought they actually knew what they were talking about.

So here I am, with my thumb up my A$$ trying to get in touch with them again to make an "exchange". As of now and 7 calls and 3 messages, I havnt been able to contact them AT ALL.

To make matters worse my boss gives me a friday "deadline" to get this thing in and put together because he's "sick of seeing it".

Tell the moron who messed up (my boss) to replace the thing....I have more of a life than he does....which gives HIM more time to drive to new jersey...

Ikea Paramus is 10 miles from where I work. The store just opened last month.

I'm in Dobbs Ferry, NY. I've never been to NJ, nor do I wanna test my luck in my crap car goin somewhere I've never been in a faulty automobile.

Whether they opened last month or not thats not my problem. If they can sell merchandise they can make sure it's shipped and handled properly and correctly. They can also at least return calls or answer their phones...

Isnt IKEA Swedish? I think so, look at my location. Never ever call the brands from my country bad!!
I really dont like them that much either, and they are getting more expensive each month. But as Creatures said they are the best thing to build, since I am lazy I love that

Actually the design can be from anywhere
If you look at their ads (on the furniture) you can see designers like Yokimotovoko Takahisikimi or whatever.

And I like Ikea products (even though their swedish and I'm finnish), I can get full wooden furniture for the price I'd have to pay for a finnish chipboard furniture.

I know what you mean. It sucks driving here. Takes me 45 minutes to get to school sometimes even though its less then 7 miles away. I want out of this "arm pit"
