IMO the NYtimes has it more right then the Rape Intervention Association of Afganistan. That was just out there comparing downloading music to rape... oui
The NYTimes put up some good points, but misses more fundamental ones such as playing music on your PC is illegal because it was copied once to get onto your PC and again when played (buffered into memory). Actually ripping is illegal to in that sense, but thats a bit extreme. Not as extreme as comparing it to rape, but there is middle ground. Online 1fee per month solutions are the way to be.
