General car maintenance Q
Is there a site that can help someone in general car education? I need something similar to the very useful www.whatis.com site, but for cars instead of computers. For instance, I need to find out how many track bar (aka track arm) bushings my Jeep has. I don't even know what this is and my Chiltons and Haynes both fail me in this dept.
Thanks for any help!
Have a great week,
Dave

Y'know Daveleau...as much as you ask car questions here, I'm half tempted to go ahead and try to create that AllthingsAutomotive site I've been throwing around in my head.
As it stands however, I do not know of a site that can give you that kind of general knowledge. Seems to me that you need a bonafide shop manual for your Jeep. They cost about $60 but man are they worth it.

Seem to having quite the fun time with your jeep, Dave.
Sorry, don't have any sites handy. Best bet is a Jeep message board - I'm sure they are everywhere. They should be able to help.

Whir should be checking in at some point in time, I'm sure he knows of a few
I think he visits a Michigan Jeep forum or something.

RedFury,
LMK if you do set it up. I'll be one of your first members. I was looking for a good shop manual. I want to look at one and see if it is too far over my head though. I've heard that they might be.

There are a few decent Jeep boards out there, Dave. Most of the people are kids with that "You should already know this attitude."
A track bar has four bushings. Two on each end.
