Judging by the cashiers I've seen, surely a few of them would take it w/o question... many appear unable to make change w/o a machine to tell them how much...

Ever pay a bill of, for example, $6.33 - hand the cashier a $10, by the time you dug out the
exact change, they've already hit "enter"? You hand them the 33¢ and they fumble trying to manually figure out that you get $4 back! Pathetic...
