Parking ticket question, is this illegal?

Ok, so the other day I picked up a parking ticket. I didn't notice that I got it till I got in the car. There it was, tucked neatly under the passenger windshield wiper. I was too lazy at that point in time to get out and get it since you don't need them to pay the fine.

I tried the wipers, but it is pretty good in there. I never remember it is there till I get into the car, and am always too lazy to get out and get it.

My question is, lets says I park at a meter and it expires. Some meter maid comes, and sees this ticket. Checks it and finds that it is old. Is there anyway I can get in more trouble for having it there?

Gee fella...seems to me like you have far more problems than worrying about an expired parking ticket.

I hope that you can't get in trouble as I'll just leave it there :-P

Meters are expensive here ($0.75 and hour) and when I need to park for work I often come up short.

They only ticket you once a day here, and the tickets always come in the same green envelope for protection. Since the meter maid sees it, she might think I already got a ticket and not give me another one.

It is this false hope compounded with my laziness that has let this ticket sit on my windsheild for 5 days now

LOL...besides being lazy as heck..your a dreamer too...huh!!

If that meter maid can't remember when or what auto she put a ticket on...or when, she better find another job...preferrably one where she would be working under someones direct supervision at all times.

I've heard of people doign that.

Do cars get towed from that area nightly?
If that area doesn't allow parking from like 11pm-7am type of thing, they would probably tow all cars during that time...

In which case your car couldnt' of been there all night

Other than that, I've heard of people doing it...

I think it would work for like one day, but after that beware as they may tag your car for towing if its not picked up within 24 hours after that (and from what I've heard those tags are a BI*** to get off lol)

So yeah it'd probably work but wouldnt' suggest trying it for too long

I never park overnight, I have a spot at my house for that. They just tow you here. I believe it is 4 am to 6 AM or something like that. No warning sticker, no anything.

This is just for work
