Tax Rate

I was wondering what everyone's tax rate in the state they live in is. I saw some rates around 10%!!!
I couldn't stand that, that is CRAZY.
Anyways I live in Indiana, tax rate here is only 6%, was 5% last year, but they raised it up.

NJ has a graduated income tax. My effective rate last year was about 2%. But they more than make up for this in real estate taxes. I paid almost three times as much in real estate taxes as I do in income tax.

I pay 0% in income tax because I am officially a Texas state resident. But, the local state sales tax is between 7.0% and 9.1%. It depends on what you buy. Surprisingly, the necessities (food items) are the highest taxed items here and reach 9.1%.


This high tax rate, the amount of revenue from the casinos, other exorbitant taxes and the decrepit nature of this state shows the inherent corruption and/or lack of leadership in Louisiana.
