Goodbye old friend. You were a good dog.
I had to put my good and loyal buddy to sleep yesterday. She was around 12 years old. Had beaten cancer the last six months. Her arthritis was under control. Then suddenly over the last 2 weeks her brain was no longer able to communicate with her legs. It got to the point where she could hardly stand. so we made the decision to put her down.
I held her in my arms wispering to her until the very end. Five seconds before her heart stopped she licked my hand and then it was over.
I'll miss you Mochi. RIP. I'll see you later at the bridge. |

It would be appropiate if you post that Bridge "Goodbye" here. I think it is most touching.

| RAINBOW BRIDGE
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and paly together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers.Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carry him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you sling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together..........

Awww Bill, I feel like I've been cutting onions here buddy. Beautiful dog there, she'll be waiting for you by the bridge. I'm a dog lover myself, so it saddens me to see a friend say goodbye...

Sorry to hear about that. It's tough letting those furry members of your family go. I've had to do it many times myself.
Bye, Mochi. Tell all my buddies hello when you see them. |

Beautiful dog, Bill. You have my sympathy. That's a tough thing to have to do, been there a few times & it's rough.
Thanks for posting that, I'd never read it before & it brought tears to my eyes.
