Cd cover sites?

anyone know what happened to all of the custom cd label sites out there? cd covers and thecovin.com are both gone, have been for days. I'm guessing they are both victims of the RIAA. Too bad, I liked alot of the custom covers they had.

i know what you mean, in my search i found a good TechTV article about using actual software to do it, but as far as downloading like "templates" i cant really seem to find anything...

Actual CD covers are copyrighted. Downloading them is the same as downloading warez.

actually I was referring to user created cd covers which were available and not warez. If I create a cd cover and share it it is not illegal.

And if there were no copyright issues then why would you assume they were taken out by the RIAA?

Well they did share copyrighted covers, but they also shared personal covers.

It's like saying get rid of P2P because some people share copyrighted material, not because you are. I wish they would just remove the copyrighted stuff and leave the custom.

And truthfully thcovin.com shared only custom cd covers, and they were better than the the ones which were "professionally" done.
