new ignore list problem

its happening again people are showing up on posts as on my ignore list and i allready have the dummy name on my list. is something new going on?

I'm experiencing the same problem from time to time...sometimes I can see the posts from Shahani, sometimes I can't. I've put his name on my ignore list/removed it several times, but it doesn't seem to help.

PM a mod or Scott to make sure they're aware of the problem.

Maybe there's another trick to correcting this problem, I just don't know...

Dude the forums are just wacked. I can't log in yet I can post, I can't access my PM's except by writing the exact address of my PM folder into the address bar manually. Sometimes stuff loads sometimes it doesn't. Its messed.

Its the principle of the thing. No I'm not really annoyed, just disgruntled. Any way its been giving me some time over at Sysopt, which has been fun.

Really though I hadn't thought of that. I guess that would work a bit better

Not Scott lol, sometime ago someone was online and it showed he was logged in with Scott, and he has like 2000 PM's and lot's of them unread.

I always send of my messages to RobRich, he replys fast and all.

Heck I thought it was just me. Micwish and shahani are popping up on my list. I wasn't surprised about shahani, cuz I think we have flamed each other before! LOL ! No hard feelings shahani !

The reason why Shahani and I are sometimes showing as ignored posts is that our accounts were deleted during The Great TechIMO Database Crash recently. And as our accounts no longer exist (they had to be recreated from scratch), any posts we previously made are marked Guest. Guests can't post on this board.

You need to have at least one other real member name in your ignore list to be able to see these guest posts without clicking on the link. RobRich made a user named /dev/null (good geek name ) for just that purpose. Until our old deleted account posts are eventually reassociated with our accounts, that's the only trick that will help.
