I listen to a country station every morning and at 6:30 they play the Star Spangled Banner everyday.I have to admit that I get goose bumps when they play it.This morning every station was playing it.Something about hearing that song that really effects me now since Sept 11.Never again will I not stand for that Anthem.When your driving by several flag poles with the flag at half staff and you here that song your gonna feel strong emotions.My eyes were wet all day.Man I love this country and thank GOD I was born here.I really can under-stand why people want to come here.So much freedom,so much oppertunity.

That's pretty freakin kick@ss.

We put the flag at half mast today on Whipple Field, in front of the nation's commanding generals houses and overlooking the Mall and all of DC (highest point in the area, so I've been told). Quite powerful at 0630 with the sun rising...one has to think of 2 years ago, at that same hour as everyone is leaving for work, never knowing what was to come...as I was waking for school not knowing I would (finally) have my part in this a few years down the road...great link.
