I had the dream again

In the dream I was surfing the web, and downloading some music at 2.5kbps. Then suddenly it kicked up to 50kbps and I thought to myself "what the heck". I download the songs and hit disconnect. Nothing happens, then I realized for some reason I suddenly had gotten DSL and I was very happy! I started it downloading and left it to download all those hundreds of megs of files.

I then woke up at about 6:30. I looked at my PC screen and it had downloaded the 20 or so songs but it had taken all night. My 56k connection had ended when it was all done, and I was sumwhat depressed knowing that when I got home I would still not be able to play games on the web, or be able to download mods for my games.

Verizon my local telephone company has been saying that the DSL is "almost to me" for the last 3 months... oui the wait is going to kill me...

yeah, well my Verizon DSL service was supposed to upgraded to 1.5/256 in June.......its september....still going at 768/128

You say your usuing Verizon though, hows your service been with them?

well it usually only goes down once a day for about half hour in the evening, or at least the last 2 weeks it been doing that.

the downloads usually get about 85kpbs or so.....its good for the price though...

Verizon said that for 2 years in my area.

Small town, local ISP beat them to it. Got them instead.

I call them about twice a week and e-mail them as often as possible. Right now I'm getting myself a second phone line so I can stay connected all day instead of having to get off so people can call.

Maybe I should e-mail them this thread, or something. It just bothers me that theres like this flaming wall of Jesus fire keeping all high speed internet from my block. EVERYONE around me has it, even the people that live off in the sticks. Its just me that is stuck on 56k.
