Why on earth do you want cassettes

Download the mp3s that are on those cassettes and then get this player:
http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/1150

Imagine storing 300 songs on a cd.

If that is too over your budget, try these:

You still want cd/tape combo? You have to have what is called a double DIN head unit, which you may or may not have room for in your vehicle.

Example of what a double din looks like:

Gonna pay some dollars for a cd/tape combo.

www.caraudioforum.com is really where these questions go.

ok, maybe i should have made my intentions known...

i want the cassette player to hook up my laptop through the car stereo for movies and for mp3s via the cassette adapter that is usually used for discmans. and so i can hook up my mp3 player up to it to. i want to cd player just incase i dont have one of those, or someone else wants to bring a cd. but i can just use the discman for that.

it almost turns you on? come on, you know you want it

You watch movies on your car stereo? That's bizarre.

I still see no need what-so-ever for a cassette player. Any kind of cassette adapter is giving you LOW QUALITY sound.

Just get a CD car stereo. Any mp3s you want to listen to, burn them to disc! If you want the convenience of 100's of mp3 all availible to ya then just get a player that will read mp3s from the CD. Although most mp3s played at loud volumes on a decent car stereo will sound like crap unless the mp3s are at least 256kbps.

WTH didn't you say that in your original post...lol.

I've never heard of somebody using the tape-to-cdplayer adapter to connect to their laptop. Do you if the cord will fit into the soundcard or not?

Anyway, 50 bucks man...tape player is easy to get nowadays. Ebay may be your best bet...guessing $20. Just make sure it's from someone reputable (you know that) and works. I'm sure ebay is saturated with older tape players people dont' want anymore.

This is fuggin complicated, man.

Just get an mp3 player for your car.
