I quit using them some time ago when they kept requiring me to register to get a download from them. Now I just look for the actual file through google.
I hate fileplanet, and any other place that wants anything from me before I get a free file from them. Yeah, I know bandwidth & web dev aren't free...but I want my free files for free anyway.

| http://www.linuxworld.com/story/21013.htm Quote:
As a company that distributes Linux software through CNET, NeTraverse CEO Jim Curtin e-mailed the outfit asking for an explanation. One was promised in 48 hours. At press time, it arrived.
CNET told Curtin that "We made the decision to discontinue our coverage of Linux so that we could focus all of our efforts on maintaining a high-quality Windows and Macintosh library. Though Linux is a viable and growing platform, it is not a core focus of our current user and publisher base. The combination of relatively low traffic from users and few product submissions from publishers made it difficult for us to maintain high-quality Linux coverage, and the decision was made to discontinue coverage rather than maintain a sub-standard Linux download library." |

Download.com was cool before they stooped supporting linux. They have a cool layout and easy to get around, almost any file to download.
Too bad they won't get any more money from me (Cause i visit their site == ads views/clicks++)
Edit: Thanks crouse, too bad they lost a bunch of visiters!
