It is one of Britains 'Tabloids'... for those who may be offended:

CD price slashed in States

A CD price war could be looming after the world’s biggest record company slashed prices by a third.
Universal — whose stars include Eminem, U2 and Elton John — cut the price of new albums in America to around £8.
The cuts are aimed at discouraging the illegal downloading of music off the internet.
Universal president, Zach Horowitz, admitted: “The most important thing we can do to encourage people back into stores is to reduce our prices dramatically.”
Experts think the price war could spread to Britain and mainland Europe where CD piracy is rife.
Record companies are desperate to rev up CD sales after seeing three successive years of falls.
However last night an HMV spokesman insisted there would be no immediate price cuts at Britain’s biggest CD retailer.
He said: “We would only cut prices if the wholesale price came down. At the moment that is not happening.”
But City analysts say price cuts are inevitable as supermarkets pile pressure on specialist shops.
WH Smith saw millions wiped off its stock market value this week after it admitted losing market share to rivals Tesco, Sainsbury and Asda.
I just heard on the radio, that they were droppping prices 30%.Mostly because the RIAA can't stop people from downloading music off the internet, this was a last ditch effort for them to cut thier losses
Why doesn't the RIAA simply offer an online service like Pressplay's? I just started usuing pressplay and so far I like it a lot better then kazaa even though I'm paying for it. Its faster, more reliable, and has better search features!
I think a lot more people would switch over to buying online if you could get the selection the RIAA could offer along with great search selections! I'd love it!
