Book banning bungholios
Did you know there are idjets out there checking books out of libraries and deliberately loosing them because they feel the book should be destroyed! They can't get it banned, so they STEAL it.
Soo sad the amount of people with similar dispositions in the world. [I don't like it, it shouldn't exist]
Just wanted to start a ranting thread on this, as I'm doing a group speech on the first Amendment in Public Speaking, and this was discussed as one of our topics.
And I found some REALLY good books at the local library on some recent debates of free speech, particularlly cyber related. More on those when I finish them (probably have them done by Sunday night).

They have to pay for it, and the book is re-bought. Those rebels....

Book banning worked a bit when the Church controlled the population's mind, but that time is over.

Still happens here in TX from time to time, most recently with the Harry Potter books in school libraries. Sad, but there are still quite a few towns here where the church runs it every bit as much as the townsfolk.

We always say, "It's never right to do wrong in order to do right"
That make sense? While these people have a 'noble' (in their eyes, anyway) intention, it's completely offset by the fact that they stole to accomplish it. Duh |

That make sense? | Yep!
How about, "The ends justify the means"...what a delightfully treacherous mode of thinking! |

I live in Idaho...don't even try to tell me "the church" doesn't control everything.
