astronomy for dummies

hi,

my dad got a pretty nice telescope for christmas this morning. i think i've taken more to it than he does. anyone have any sites that show me how to find planets or other interesting stuff.
i'm not sure how powerful it is. it's about 4 feet long. 7 or so inches across. with the 10 mm eyepiece, i can look at about 1/4 of the moon at a time.
pretty wild stuff, i would really like to find some more interesting things to look at.
