Anyone tried or heard of these?

Those ab-tronic belts that stimulate your muscles through electric pulses, and tone them?

I got one called the Rio Ab Builder Plus for X-Mas, its got little pads u stick on, man it feels wierd, like bugs insinde my stomach, grabbing my muscles, and stretching them.

Seems to work though, I feel my muscles getting tired from it.

Just wondering if anyone else has tried one of these?

Sorry to dig up another old thread, but I am somewhat curious as to whether these Ab belts work.

The stimulate the muscle to contract and relax, similar to "sit ups".
I know they use the same type of stimulation for physical therapy.

Maybe call a couple physical therapists and ask..

If it works while you're on the computer,, I'll take 2!

My brother bought one, and I've used it a couple of times before. It does some brutal sit-ups on the highest setting.

He's used it a lot more than me, hopefully he'll pop over here and let us know.

After seeing one of their info-commercials on TV I plugged a reviews inquiry into goggle.com.

Found alot of reviews and bbs threads from those who had bought these things. Overall, the units seem to work, mildly. The biggest complaints was with cheap construction (they start failing in a couple months) and difficulty in getting them attached properly.
Wide price range, too. (The $40 Fast Abs seems to work as well as the $100 AbTronics.)

Go here to compare price/performance on the various brands: FitnessInformercialReview

MrFrost, great link , thanks for the info all, however, I can't imagine you would want to have them on the whole time you are on the computer(me imagining using one for 12-16 hours a day ) I haven't decided which to get but I am sure to get one as I need to use something like that on my bum leg. Leg, dimmit, not my bum!!! Although it could use some simulated exercise, I can't believe it would be very comfortable to sit on.
