what the heck does the acronym BSOD stand for? I've seen many times now and sitll can't put 2+2 together. I Imagine me saying...."ohh yeah, ...duhhh.....why didnt I know that?" when i find out what it is. I really didnt know what forum to post this in either...sorry if its in the wrong spot

edit: I should also add.. It was called this.. b/c no matter how many time you hit the space bar to continue.. it was a moot point.. The system was dead.. any information you were working on was gone.. and the only solution was a 3 finger salute.. CTRL+ALT+DEL =)

lmao!..... i know the blue screen of death...rather well actually. Like i said, i would prolly say " I should have known that" BSOD 0wnz me as does every M$ slave. Although I must give props up to winXP PRO. Not a single crash in 6 months of run time now. I rebbot the machine about once every two days. havent gave it an endurance test yet.

I have seen it one time with XP!!
It was a NT-bootscreen-alike screen, looked just like the bootup screen but then with error message.

bump up your processors speed a bit too high and you'll see it. it's real pretty, I know I've seen it as a screensaver. would be a good practical joke, I think it was at tucows.com.
