Hows this for a picture???

My bro had a liver transplant 6 weeks ago, he had been sick for about 4 years waiting on a transplant list, finally near death they admitted him and luckly (also sadly) someone gave up the ultimate gift thru their death, he was home in 2 weeks and is doin REAL well---he will carry his Dr's signature from now on out tho!!!

Please set up to be a donor if possible, it is a life saving simple option...

Ouch that's a big insicion..
But I don't think he minds the "Dr's signature" at all.
Good to hear he is doing well. God is well looking after him.

Hmm, I'm not familiar enough with proceedures of this nature to be sure about the doctors "closing" skills, but I'm thankful that the operation went well and your brother is doing well now.

Send a message via ICQ to brandon184
Looks like a fairly clean close to me, compared to some pictures of other "closures" I've seen... *Shudder*..

Hopefully he does well!

I think the gift of life is the greatest gift of all, the best part is that it is free. I have been a everything donor for 23 years and have encouraged many others to do the same. I got started when I was 18. I think I will start another thread just for this.

Good to know your bro is doing well.
Organ donation is definatly a good thing.
So is donating blood. My son has an uncommon blood type, and needed some for his surgery almost 9 years ago. Fortunatly, a freind of my mom's had his type, and was willing to donate.

So on to the pics... You think that's a pic, how about these :

This one is taken the DAY AFTER his suregery in childrens hospital. He was 10 months old at the time, and shows how quickly kids bounce back to being their happy little selves:

This one was taken DAY OF surgery. NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!

The surgery was to correct a birth defect in his skull, which he is completely recovered from...

Just here to give you a cheer!!!

Have Crohn's disease and needed serious sugery once. Thought I had the king of gut scars... This one makes me feel like I got off lite...

But I wanted to cheer you on in the "Donate" category.

If you are reading this and haven't signed up to donate... WHY??

Seriously, why not? You may have the chance to save a half dozen lives with that one action.

On the line of blood donors, PLEASE would everyone just try it once?

You might just find that it dosen't hurt or take up all your time or...

(Climbing off the ceiling)

Sorry about the rant, but this subject has been very touchy for me for the past decade.

Hope you and yours are well and getting better during the new year.
