mothers ring mystery solved or

..DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE AFTERLIFE??

as most of you know,my mom in law passed on a month ago. she had a jewelry box the size of a small chest of drawers, just loaded with costume jewelry. ruby knew that mom had some sort of mothers ring with birthstones of each of her children plus moms in it. ruby and her sister went thru the whole"chest of drawers"(took em a few hours) looking for that ring, but no luck. so the box sat in the attic of our garage till yesterday, when we brought it over to our sons house. we gave the whole thing to him and his family.

sue(daughterinlaw) and ruby looked thru it a bit when we brought it over there yesterday, not even looking for the ring, just checking stuff out. then sue called us this morning. she got out of bed and walked past the open chest, glanced in a drawer, and there it was, right in plain sight.

makes me kinda wonder about why we didnt find it the first few times we looked thru the jewelry, whether we were specifically looking for that ring,or just casually looking at the stuff in general.

maybe GrammaPete planned it that way...she was a crafty ol`broad. we miss her.

thanks for the ring,mom.

Good story draboo...I mean, not with her passing of course...but the way you worded it kind of gave me the chills. I do believe in occurrences like that happening, I'm glad it worked out for you guys. Ya never know, she was probably up there *points to heaven* smiling wide as can be while you guys were digging for hours, fully knowing you would find it when she thought the time was right.

Thanks for sharing...
Mike

Ever heard a saying that sometimes you cannot see the woods for the trees?
