Humor in The Jackal ?

I dont know if its just me, but when I get to thinking about the movie, there is something about it that I just find hilarious, does any body else find it funny ? Or am I just messed up ?

Funny Things (IMO), In The Jackal:

1. He has to kill ONE person, but he buys this like 20mm cannon, overkill ?
2. Jack Black.
3. When he tries to kill his target, he misses, but he KEEPS shooting, blowing these huge holes in the building behing the target, nearly destroyong the front of the building. Why ?

I guess its just because its so cliche.

I agree with the first two, but at the end of the movie, when he's firing on the target, he's pretty annoyed, i thought he was becoming psychotic, so he kept on firing.

I know, what's the need in the huge cannon? He should have bought an L81.

I also found the thought on a 20mm cannon in the back of a family minivan funny. Just because minivans are so common with families.

A .50 rifle from afar would've been sufficient. After all, I believe they said he was a contract sniper for the IRA?

If he was the IRA, he would have used explosives...

They all use explosives. I suppose you Americans don't know about that though .
