Well, I'm assuming you've been waiting for awhile, and the insurance company is trying to screw you. Otherwise, I've found that the most arcane and time-consuming function of any large company is the mystical
"cutting of the check" ceremony, which requires Heaven knows what amount of time, plus we doubt it!
That said,you can always sue in Small Claims Court. You don't need a lawyer, it's cheap, and the judge listens to both sides and usually renders a fair "common sense" judgement.
Your only glitch is, you have to serve the correct officer(s) of the company. But ask around at the court, oftentimes you can serve by mail.
That action alone may put some motivation under their wigwam. Good luck.
