DMV test.
For a while now I have eather driving with a lisensed driver in the car or without one(band Urban). I took drivers ed and passed. And my parents are finaly letting me get. And I find out that I am one of the 10% of people that take drivers ed that have to take it. Any words of advice. What do they make you do exactly?

depends on the place, some test your driving and parking abilities. others test just the driving portion. i suggest you go to the DMV and as what they test.

I don't go to the DMV unless I definetely have to. I would suggest calling them up and asking. |

They make you stand on your head and do reverse burnouts thru construction zones while drinking an alcoholic beverage---be prepared or fail---practice practice practice...

I got my license just about 4months ago. at age 16. I got my permit when i was 15, completed driver's ed, and then passed the test when i was 16. I found everything to be fairly easy. Just remember that the LSR wants you to do everything the "safe" way. Look both directions before going through an interesection, and stop before a stop sign (completely), clear the walk way, roll past the walk way, clear the road and then proceed. Stay RIGHT AT the speed limit. They don't like slow pokes but if you go over you get failed. Leave plenty of room between you and the car infront of you and just take it easy. Parking is simple if you've practiced, if you haven't, your're dead in the water. Don't bump curbs and make sure you signal correctly. I don't know if you'll have to back around a corner but here in washington state I had to. if you do back around a corner, look to your left and behind you alot. Don't use your mirrors a ton, just glance at them occasionaly. Last, but not least, don't tick off the LSR. I got a pretty cranky guy and still got a good grade. Just act very professional and business like and they'll be fine with it.
It's all pretty easy, don't fret anything.

You must successfully complete a minimum of thirty clock hours of classroom instruction required by the state.
You can only miss 3 sessions (times in class) during the quarter and still complete this. (state requirement)
You must also pass the class with an academic average of 70% or higher.
You must complete 6 hours of range driving on the schools driving range.
-Sessions are held each weekday, Saturdays and some non-school days.
-You have to schedue the time with your instructor
You must also complete 3 hours of road driving in a DE (Dr. Ed.) car.
-Road driving is done before and after school Saturdays and some non school days.
-Sessions last 1.5 to 3 hours.
- If you fail to show up then your instructor is not obligated to test you and you liscense may be delay a possible 3 weeks.
You must complete the states requirement of 30 hours driving time, ten of which must be at night and 6 which come with driving with your instructor.

I'd go to the nearest test center & get their handbook. At least here in MO, everything on the test is covered in the book - it basically walks you through what they'll have you do behind the wheel.

parking, ahhaha!
I couldn't park straight if my life depended on it!
I still have to take my Driver's Test as well!
I took the test during drivers ed, ran the first stop sign, whoops.
