My brother finally got his 65" HDTV today. Boy did he have quite the headache trying to get it from Sears. After paying for it, the item was never delivered, and management gave him the run-around for over two weeks before they made good on the purchase (and it was supposed to be delivered 3 days after the sale).
But, enough of that. This thing is HUGE. Took almost 3 hours to get everything setup. You know, furniture moved out, components hooked up is an orderly fashion, furniture put back. Seeing those TV's in those huge stores dwarfs them something awful. Cuz when they're in your living room (or whatever you call the room it goes in), it GROWS. Forget the overpriced theatre, where you can't be loud, drink beer, or get down with the lady (or vise/versa

). Yes, this is definately a nice way to center your entertainment quarters.
I am going to have to go back with some wires, though. He didn't seem to notice it, but I have extremely keen ears and eyes when it comes to catching flaws in technology. There's a mild hissing noise when he uses his stereo and the picture isn't all that nice. NOW, granted this is HDTV, and he has no HD source to take advantage of it. I'm not even sure his DVD is a progressive scanner (and neither was he). But I am going to go back this weekend and see if I can't improve the quality of his setup somehow.
It was a 2003 Mistubishi Gold model. Didn't catch the actual product # or model #.
I'll have to get a bigger place before I can get something that big, or though out the couch!
