While I commend him for standing up in what he believes in...
This man is an idiot Quote:
Patrick Mahoney, director of the Christian Defense Coalition, said one company contacted about removing the monument has refused to do so, and he urged Moore's supporters to boycott any company that took the job.
"Today let it be known that any engineering company or any company that would transport furniture or move heavy materials, if you move this monument, we will call for a nationwide boycott of you," he said.
| I'll move it for them. And they could boycott me until their knees bled.

It took the National Guard to desegregate Alabama's schools. I say let the NG step in and correct this bigotry too.

Dunno about idiot, but he sure sounds like a theological fascist to me. Threatening economic blackmail against a company of honest movers, for accepting/expediting an honest contract?
Heck, I'd take that contract for free, just to spite the creep. Boycott me all he wants, anybody who'd take such a creature seriously is hardly the kind of clientele I would work for.
Neener, neener, neener! |

The man has guts!!!! It's about time someone stood up for what they beleive in. It's a shame that the ACLU blood suckers have tried to distort and eliminate the principles our Founding Fathers so carefully wrote into the Constitution.
Rock on Brother.

I got a kick out of Judge Moore-on's statements today: Quote: |
It's not about religion. It's about the acknowledgment of almighty God.
| That's like sayiing "It's not about war. It's about killing the enemy soldiers." Duh.
EDIT: Comment removed so as not to offend.

Actually, you are incorrect, IMO, M_Six. Religion is a man-made phenomena. Man certainly didn't make God, AFAIK.
It's like saying: This is not about war. It's about freedom.
It's a man-made organised thing versus a concept.
IMO, anyway.
Cheers
Mick

It is very much about religion. The 10 commandments are not a universal belief by all the major religions.
I'll help move it. Seperation of state and religion. It's a part of freedom that gives you the right to your own religion, including the ones that object represents. How would you feel if it were a Koran?

Rock on Brother. | As a card carrying "blood sucker" as you so kindly phrased it, IMO the founding fathers intended the Government not to turn into a tool of any church. To prevent this they intended to keep any symbol of influence out of government and we should do just that.
I wonder where they want me to deliver the rock to? that is, after I pry it out of his cold, dead hands. j/k
