Hatebreed is pretty good. There are quite a few bands I like, but most have since broken up. Ignite is my favorite and they are still together. Great lyrics and music, great energy, vocals. I love this band!!!
Agnostic Front is a big one and so is Minor Threat, Failure Face, some Husker Du, Dead kennedys, Black Flag, Bad Religion. Some wouldn't consider HD, BR and DK hardcore, some would, whatever you call it I think they're awesome bands.
Madball, true NY hardcore, nice sound. Strife, Snapcase, SSD, Inside Out (you might know the vox for that band), The Exploited.
Earth Crisis, the band actually kind of bothers me, but I do like one song of theirs which was kind of a hardcore hit a few years ago title Firestorm. Good beat and lyrics.
Some local bands, Kill Sadie (later moved to Washington state) and Harvest both broke up a little while ago.
Not necessarily hardcore, but definitely my favorite punk band (sharing that spot with Ignite and The Strike) is Dillinger Four. Local band but gradually gaining a wider audience, smart lyrics and great music! Give it a listen!
