What tv should i get?

I want to get a 34" tube widescreen. Just wondering what model i should go with. incase you were wondering. Large projection is not an option cause of viewing angles and plasma for cost.

thanks.

Have you thought about a projector? Anyhow to answer your question Sony's are superb. I like Samsung and Toshiba as well.

I don't know which brands are good but I know which ones are not good. Hitachis suck because they just stop working after like 2 years. I have a JVC and it sucks because the picture is just terrible. If a lot of the screen is red, the entire screen gets a red tint to it. If a lot of the screen is blue, the entire screen turns slightly blue.

I've never had any problems with Sanyo, RCA or Toshiba

We have a 27" Toshiba flat screen (not plasma) and love it. The picture is crisp and clean with excellent color and you don't get as much glare off the screen as you do with the regular rounded screens.

My 27" tv, vcr, and boombox are all RCA. Good products.

I've got a Sony and I love it. It is worth the extra money. After all, if you enjoy watching tv, why cheap out here?

BTW: I thought it was going "out" and I was thinking of replacing it. I got Dish Network, and found out it was my crummy cable company! My signal is as good as a DVD recording and my tv is close to 10 years old!

BTW: the screen shown is bigger than the area allowed, thus some edges are cut off a little. I know how to fix it on a monitor, but does anyone know how to "shrink" the picture on a Sony 29" tv?

Sony if you can swing the extra cost. Also take a look at Panasonic. We got my dad one for his birthday. Extremely crisp picture. We have an old Toshiba at home which has a very nice picture but when I went shopping for Dad's birthday the Toshiba wouldn't touch the pic quality on the Panasonic.

I bought my daugther a 32" Sylvania at Sam's for about $275.00 w/ a four year guarantee ( Sam's suplimental for 3 years) If they can't fix it , you get a new one at no cost.

Panasonic, Toshiba, JVC are brands I recommend...Sony if you want to pay a lot of $$$ for a cool looking TV...I'd only buy Sony if I was going for a high end style tv.
