Ive sat and watched people be totally befuddled with hooking the audio cables from a vcr to the aux inputs on a stereo. I suppose some people have a mental block when it comes to "tech" stuff...somewhere along the line they decided it was too hard to learn so they sort of have a blockage, lol.

It's so strange how some people can't understand basic in and out with tech stuff. I've actually seen it where a guy has hooked his phone to the modem of his computer then tried to make a phone call. If the computer and phone are not connected to an outside line, how the hell is it supposed to work? Idiots.

Funny story - After moving into my dorm room, I was talking with some of the guys on the same floor. This kid at the end of the hall starts bitching that his internet isnt' working. I offer to take a look at it, and discover that he had hooked up his phone line (2 wire) from the network card to to the Cat-5 jack in the wall

Some months later, my roommate sent off his computer to be worked on. He gets it back, hooks up everything, internet doesn't work. Since my roommate was a farely competent techie, I started checking everything under the sun. Finally after 2 hours of nonsense, I reach behind to check the cable... Lo and behold, the unsecure construction of his case had led to the network card being mounted at an angle, thereby preventing the plug from fully seated unless it was pushed in HARD.

Guess what the first thing I check is now.....
