Kids Effect of Resellerratings.com

I am new to resellerratings.com. I had a very bad experience with techdepot.com which is owned by Office Depot. I was reviewing the company's rating and their life time rating is 7.13.

My question is, do you think that these companies give a damn what’s posted on resellerratings.com and how they are rated?

Do you think or does anyone have any substantial evidence that they can describe where this website actually had an effect or response (negative or positive) from a large corporation?

I'm sure they do care.

We have a system in sweden thats called Svarta Listan (Black list)
If a company is blacklisted they tend to lose many customers and some even go bankcrupt.Puplic relations and customer support is important for every company small or large.

If a single customer tells 5 friends who in turn tell 5 of their friends you have 31 people who will or will not buy procducts from your company. This site doesn't tell 5 people but maybe 5000 or maybe even 50000 people that a company is either good or bad.

So yes I would say they care.

While I can't say much for most of em, I can say that a few definitely do. I have seen some resellers go as far as actually responding to complaints left on there and newegg.com actually rewards customers who let them know that positive reviews have been left by sending the customers free gifts (t-shirts, case badges, paperweights, etc.)

not sure how thats even remotely relevant...

anyways...

Yea I've seen a number of resellers that have responded to users on there. RR also has a program where if you get great ratings they can put a RR symbol on their page or something like that to show off.

i think he means he got free branded stuff (like a new egg case badge) for giving them a good review which would show they pay attention to what gets posted there

Size

It seems that a company that is a small to medium size will pay more attention to any negative information about them then would a large sized company. Would you agree?

Not necessarily. Considering the massive amount of feedback we receive regarding ratings from both vendors and consumers, I can say that the vast majority of popular vendors certainly care about their ratings.

While I do not have much interaction with the RR side of operations, I wouldn’t find it hard to believe that some companies probably even factor in their ratings into short-term sales projections. Accordingly, most vendors take great interest in consumer feedback at RR.

Not to mention the fact that smart buyers check out a companys rating before buying from them. As more people become familiar with this and other rating sites and start using them, poor performing vendors will start to loose business.

If they are at all smart, they better care.
