What is your favorite guitar (specify accoustic or electric) and why?

I like (electric) Epiphone Les Paul Special all the way! The action is beautiful!

Accoustic, it has gotta be an Chet Atkins Ibanez! I don't know why really, it's just tight!

Jon

Electric all the way! I am a Millencolin fan, and I currently have an own punkrock group and I just love the electric guitar! I am the vocalist though but I think the sound is great and I would really like to know how to play it. Acoustic is also great, but depends on the songs. I actually like both but Electric gets my vote since I am a fanatic of Punkrock (Specially Millencolin).

I'd like a Gibson SG but all I can afford now is my Epiphone telecaster (Fender copy).

I like the Gibson/Epiphone SGs and Les Pauls. The only problem with Gibsons are their price - but you can usually buy Epiphones and put REAL humbucker (not just "humbucking") pickups on them and they'll sound exactly like a $2000 Gibson.

I'm a bassist though, so my opinion doesn't count

Favorite guitar is a late 60's Gibson SG that a friend of mine owns. I've never played a guitar that smooth before or since.

Otherwise I'm a big ESP/LTD fan. I've never played and H or F series guitar that I didn't like. They've got great action and a tight, hot humbucker sound that you don't get out of the current Gibson guitars.

Well ya just can't beat the sound of an old American made Strat IMO,just sounds great. Too bad I can't afford one right now
Les Pauls sound good, but have a big fat tone, but I have a hard time with the way they feel.I have always played a fender type guitar though, could be the reason

I play an Aria Pro that I've had for 15 years, heavy metal humbucker in the bridge postion. The action is great, and I will play it for a long time yet.

I also have an Epiphone PR-200 acoustic that I like to play.Really nice cheap guitar.

You have to have both, electric and acoustic IMO.I can't settle with one or the other

If I could have any one I wanted, it'd probably be a Gibson 1963 Firebird. Just coz.

As far as what I own, my baby is my Martin D-15 acoustic. It's plain-jane, nothing fancy. Just 100% American made solid mahogany goodness.

I've got two electrics.....an Agile Les Paul copy that is an excellent guitar for the money. Then I've got an Ibanez IC300 Iceman. Not really well made, but for when I want to go "JUG JIGGA JUG JIGGA JUG JIGGA JAH JAH", there's nothing better.

Nice to see SG's coming back. I had one years ago, nice and light compared to Les Pauls. Some jerk stole it. Also had a 61 Les Paul Special, double cutaway, ( no carved maple). It was so shweet. Sold it for a very handsome profit.

I've always liked Guild acoustics. But, for pluggin in and playing acoustic it's gotta be an Ovation.

For my acoustic I have a Taylor K-10 with the KOA wood back.
I also had a 71 les paul custom cherry sunburst with all gold harware and switched the p/ups for alnico 490r and 498t.(sold out of desperation)
My electric now is a Ibanez MC500DS.

On the right.
