I'm thinking about giving up forum surfing.

I've been running my mouth on various forums for the better part of the day. It occurs to me that the only thing I did was satisfy my ego by trying to be smart but gained nothing else. The most predominant word that was used by me was I or saying something in my opinion. I'm thinking wtf? Who cares what "I" think.

Well, this is Tech In-My-Opinion here.

Opinions are taken seriously, provided they are provided seriously. If your main interest is making your opinion known, and not providing information per se, then I can guarantee that others will become less interested in your posts.

So, I suggest not to give up forum surfing, but to concentrate on forums where you can provide useful information rather than just saying something.

IMO, anyway.

You can't do it! The word I has to be one of the most, if not the most commonly used word in the English language. And probably the Aussie language, too.

Well my main reason for surfing forums is to learn.But if I happen to be able to help someone else from something someone has taught me,well that's just icing on the cake.
