hot! items -litterally waiting to open kiln.....

...the waiting is killing me.... at 2:00PM Sunday I began a galze firing in my gas kiln -it was finally up to temperature (2300F) at 4:00AM Monday (today) -which is about right for this kiln ... but now I must wait about 24-30 hours for cool-down before I can see my new babies..

It's a labor of love to since I don't use any automated controls and have to manually check and adjust burners/dampner each hour to adjust the temperature ramp-up and kiln atmosphere -final temperature is determined by melting of ceramic "cones" that are visible from a spy hole.....

Oh yeah, I may be partially responsible for this heat wave
