Ignore List Question

Hi,

I asked about why my post count had gone down here a couple of days ago and got that sorted now I notice that I seem to have a number of members on my Ignore List.

I was surprised at this as I have never added anyone to this list and when I went to Edit Ignore List was unable to find any names to remove from it.

Is this a glitch caused by the problems that threw out the Post Counts or is it something else.

Any help with this one would be greatly appreciated as it' gets annoying fast to have to click on the links to see what that member had to say.

Solution to Ignore List

Crud - I just realized you might not even see this since I'm probably still on the list...

Hi,

Thanks for that quick reply Ed_S. I added the name of a banned member to my ignore list and still have people listed as ignored when I visit the post I was reading.

What am I doing wrong?

you need to remove the name from the banned list now

and you have to do it for every person...

Thanks for the reply GroundZero3.

If I understand you correctly- Everytime I see someone showing up as being ignored I need to go to my Ignore List, add that person, save the change and then remove that person, save the change in order to remove them from the list they don't exist on in the first place?

Hi again,

I hate to be a Pain in the *** on this but that is what I did and I still have thes guys showing up as ignored when I go back to the post I was reading

RicheemxX and shahani show up as being on my Ignore List. I have been and added them both to it saved the changes gone away from that window come back highlighted the names individually and hit delete key then saved the changes again. Went back to Thread and found that it still says the same.

OOPS, Forgot to add the link!!!

All I had to do was go to the user account Rob created for the purpose - dev/null, click "add to ignore list", and presto! - everyone else's posts were visable again - in one step - and have remained so.

Maybe using a real, but banned, user won't work for some reason?

Hi,

Thanks ED_S I followed your link and then clicked on the option to add Dev/Null to my ignore list at the bottom of the page, went back to the thread refreshed the view and hey presto they are now visible once again.

Glad to help. Kinda curious - I'd posted to that same thread, am I still on that phantom ignore list, or was my post visible before you did the fix?
