My ISP,
Quadranet, is now offering statewide connections. They are a small, local company (Fresno), and offer excellent service. I have used them for almost 4-years and can testify to their dependability.
As for service, when you call them, the person who answers the phone is the same person who makes the place work. That means no more calls to a teenager in Nebraska who is reading from a preprinted sheet of answers to your questions.
Their price for a dialup connection is $20/month with a $25 signup fee. I think they will waive the fee if you prepay 3 months at $52.50. That brings the monthly charge down to $17.50. You can also prepay service for 6 months, lowering the monthly cost to $15.00.
I am not employed by or affilliated with them in any way, except as my service provider. I just thought this information might be of interest to anyone in California who is less than satisfied with their ISP.
