My first car was dubbed the Camaro Killer by my best friend, because my favorite pastime was surprising and stomping Camaros in street races. It was a 1967 Dodge Monaco 4-door, bronze in color, really plain except for under the hood. Ya just can't beat the power of a 440 Police Interceptor engine. This car could pass anything but a gas station!

It's just so much fun to have a big 4-door land yacht, with 5 people in it, and beat just about anything on the street in a light-to-light drag. The speedometer was a certified 140MPH unit that got the limit tested regularly.

First car - 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. We like to call her Mellow Yellow. Original straight 6 268 ci. Not alot of HP, but plenty of torque. Still runs great too. Only thing I have had to replace in the last 9 years is the water pump. Might not get great gas mileage, but with 49 gallons on board I can drive about 700 miles without stopping. You all would destroy me in drag race, but I get to go places that you could never get close to.

Talk The babes dug this one!

My first car was a 1966 Renault R-8. It featured rubber floor mats (no carpeting), a 4 cylinder engine in the back, and a unique hood with a "V" shaped crease done the middle. It got 35 MPG back when gas was $.35 per gallon.

I jazzed it up by installing a Radio Shack radio with FM mono. Later I added an underdash 8-track player. It was rockin'...

The car had one other, er, "useful" feature: the seats went ALL the way back...

How about a 61 Chevy Biscayne (the cheap one) 4 door. 283, 2 barrel, slip n slide with powerglide. It was painted goat vomit green. It was fairly good on gas - probably 16-18 mpg - and very easy to work on. Not bad for $150 bucks in 1969. I drove it for a year, then sold it when I joined the service.

Ahhhh, the memories . My was a 1969 Datsun pickumup truck. I got it in '80 fresh out of high school. It had some 150K miles on it but ran like a charm. The paint was was the really cool lookin' flat gray primer . I ran that thing for over a year 'til I hit a deer doing about sixty one night - may both of them RIP .

Ok I feel young here haha.. and feel like I had one of the worse first car.. a 1987 Dodge Colt hatchback.. was a good car though.. The trans went in it.. and that was the end.. funny thing is that car could book some speed.. but past 70 it started to wag in the wind.. felt like it was lifting off the ground... =)
