Whale Flatulence Stuns Scientists
Link (fixed for Mick) Quote:
It's one of the unfortunate consequences of being a mammal - flatulence.
And, more unfortunately for a group of whale researchers, nature took its course right under their noses - literally.
| I found this rather amusing.... I'm afraid to ask you to discuss this, but since Theo is gone on vacation, we don't get many odd news stories anymore. So .... discuss.

WOW! What research! Quote: |
However, the episode did not detract from their mission, which was to collect DNA from whale dung...
| And paid for by Australian tax payers, no doubt.
Cheers
Mick
I did manage to open the broken link anyhow...

Always a good use of tax payers dollars, just investigating the wrong kind of dung...

Actually I am being facetious. Any research that tells us more about whales (including their digestive gases ) is a good thing. So, what is to discuss?
Cheers
Mick

Whale flatulence just struck me as funny. It gives a whole new meaning to making bubbles in the bathtub...

Same principle. Just a slightly bigger bubbles in a somewhat bigger tub.
Wonder what a kelp-flavoured fart smell like. And wonder if it made a... noise.
